The Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (SAGE) is charged with advising WHO on overall global policies and strategies, ranging from vaccines and technology, research and development, to delivery of immunization and its linkages with other health interventions.

SAGE members

SAGE is comprised of 15 members, who serve in their personal capacity and represent a broad range of disciplines encompassing many aspects of immunization and vaccines.

Members are recruited and selected as acknowledged experts from around the world in the fields of epidemiology, public health, vaccinology, paediatrics, internal medicine, infectious diseases, immunology, drug regulation, programme management, immunization delivery, health-care administration, health economics, and vaccine safety.

Anthony Scott BA BM BCh MSc FRCP DTM&H FMedSci is a Wellcome Trust Senior Research Fellow in Clinical Science at the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme in Kilifi, Kenya, and Professor of Vaccine Epidemiology in the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) in London, UK.
